Seaford Middle School Jr. Honor Society Students
Raise Funds for Rogosin

The Junior Honor Society at Seaford Middle School in Seaford, Long Island was hard at work all year raising money for a good cause. They held bake sales, card sales and organized a talent show where hundreds of students performed. They donated the proceeds from their efforts to The Rogosin Institute after becoming interested in Rogosin when a classmate received a kidney transplant from his father earlier this year.

These 24 talented students raised $1,000 - a fantastic amount for a small group of students!! Barry Smith, MD, Ph.D, Rogosin's director, and Susan Spiegel, director of development, were so appreciative and enthused by this significant gift that they visited the school and met the students on Tuesday, June 9, 2009. "It was very important to say thank you in person and for each student to feel proud of this tremendous accomplishment," said Dr. Smith. Honor society teacher advisors, Angela Curci and Lindsay Harris, Middle School principal, Mrs. Roseanne Careri, and Assistant Principal, Mr. Sean Fallon, also joined Dr. Smith and Susan in giving congratulations.

Thank you Seaford Jr. Honor Society Members for your most impressive efforts to help others!!
