The Rogosin Institute

Special Funds

Endowment Fund
The Rogosin Institute Endowment Fund was begun in November 1998 by Rogosin Board Chairman, Sidney Knafel. The Rogosin Institute Endowment Fund provides finances in perpetuity and is a source of annual income to cover present and future needs. Only a small percentage of the interest, generated year after year, is used toward operating expenses at Rogosin. The Endowment Fund is administered by a subcommittee of the Rogosin Board of Directors, in accordance with Rogosins by laws. Funds can be allocated to the endowment fund at any time.

Dr. Carolyn Diehl Quality of Life Fund
Funds are used to better the lives of our patients by helping them with individual needs, both medical and non-medical, and by providing happy occasions for patients as groups or individuals. This fund is administered by Rogosin's Social Services Division under the supervision of Rogosin's Development Office.

Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Family Screening Fund

PKD is a genetic disorder affecting one in every 500 individuals. Early screening and diagnosis can prevent unnecessary complications from the disease; however, for many reasons, including financial considerations, family members of PKD patients often avoid being screened. The PKD family screening fund is used to defray the cost of ultrasound and counseling for relatives of PKD patients.

Annual Appeal Fund
Each year in November, The Rogosin Institute sends appeal letters to friends, benefactors and patients. The Annual Appeal Fund is important to Rogosin to raise funds for our programs and services. Rogosin needs the support to help us in our mission in providing the best possible medical care.
