  Cholesterol/Lipid Disorders

The Rogosin Institute Comprehensive Lipid Control Center's (CLCC) work in lipid control began in the early 1980s when we pioneered clinical research of LDL-apheresis. LDL apheresis is a procedure that takes blood outside the body to remove the LDL-cholesterol, the major cholesterol carrying lipoprotein in your blood. In addition to LDL-apheresis, the CLCC provides a full range of diagnostic and treatment services for adults and children with cholesterol and triglyceride disorders. These conditions can lead to narrowing of the arteries (atherosclerosis) that increases the chance of having a heart attack or stroke or cause pancreatitis. Learn More »

Hypertension is also a characteristic symptom of polycystic kidney disease. Rogosin has the only research and treatment center in the northeast dedicated to patients with polycystic kidney disease.
