Knowing that both she and her husband had high cholesterol, Hang asked her pediatrician to test her young son, Jason. His cholesterol was extremely high. Although they tried on their own, they could not make a significant difference in their son's cholesterol level. They felt hopeless until they were referred to The Rogosin Institute. Once there, they received excellent care. Through medication, Jason's cholesterol began to drop but not enough. Fortunately, the doctors at Rogosin found other methods to help Jason, including a liver transplant - the first of its kind to treat dangerously high cholesterol. Jason is now doing well after surgery and his cholesterol is within normal range.
